Everything I am about to say is true. You are not dreaming. You have not slipped into some kind of "Lost-side slip" time stream or "Slacker" bus station alternative universe. Trust me. I know exactly how you feel - it just seems to good to be true, right? But it is a fact. I have been pinching myself non-stop and "ouching" to boot, so this is all the real deal.
It has almost taken a decade to make this happen, but here it is:
THE LEGENDARY STARDUST
COWBOY WILL BE
JOINING US ON THE SHUFFLE
SHOW THIS FRIDAY, MAY 21st.
THE BEST PART - YOU ARE ALL
INVITED TO JOIN
The Ledge will be available for autographs, pictures and war whoop lessons from 6 to 8 a.m. at KMSU, on the campus of Minnesota State University Mankato. As excited as we all are to meet and greet him, he is just as excited to meet the folks who have been mailing him birthday cards and season greetings for all of these years. If you happen to be under the age of 21 and can't attend the KMSU Listener Appreciation Show Friday night at the Red Sky Lounge, then this is your opportunity to rub elbows with The Legendary Stardust Cowboy!
Let's give him a big welcome this Friday morning, and let him know that Southern Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and the whole wide world love him and his music! If you can't join us in the studio Friday morning to meet The Ledge, then be sure to tune in to 89.7 on your fm dial. For our out of range listeners, don't forget that you can stream us online at http://www.kmsu.org/ Just click on the "Listen Live" button.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call us at (507) 389 - 5678 or 1-800-456-7810. You can also drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org The KMSU studios are located on the second floor of the Alumni Foundation Building, across the street from the Bell Tower or behind Chipotles in the strip mall on Warren. There is a parking lot in back, and the doors will be propped open so just come on up and say "HOWDY".
WE WILL SEE YOU FRIDAY MORNING!
BUT WAIT..............................THERE'S MORE.
The Fleshtones are also doing an instore at Mankato's favorite Mom and Pop record Shop TUNE TOWN at the RiverHills Mall. They will be there at 4:00 pm Friday afternoon, and have even promised to play a few tunes for us! In addition to giving Mankato a taste of their SUPER ROCK, The Fleshtones will also be available for photos and autographs. If you need directions to Tune Town, here is a link to their web site. This is another great opportunity for folks under the age of 21 to meet and greet The Fleshtones. Just to give you a heads up, that is Peter in the Radio Ninja shirt (note his Shuffle Function do-it yourself kits as well), Keith in the Music Geek shirt, Bill in the Radio Camp shirt, and Ken in the paint tube shirt. There will be a test later so study up!!
