Spoiler Alert

On this morning's Shuffle Function show we spoke with Michael Lagerquist from the Theater Department about their new production Evil Dead: The Musical. This sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun, and if you go I would reccomend trying to sit in the "Spatter Section". Here is what the web site has to say about the show:

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Dec. 1-4, and
11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in the Andreas Theatre, Performing Arts Center.

Evil Dead: The Musical is a hilarious parody that takes all the elements of the cult classic films, Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, then combines them to make one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time! Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them into demons. It’s all up to Ash (a house wares employee, turned demon killing hero), and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies ... Limbs dismembered ... Demons tell bad jokes ... and all to music. Note: This production contains adult language and situations. Individual tickets for Evil Dead: The Musical are $9.00 regular, $8.00 for senior citizens, youth 16 and under and groups of 15 or more, $7.00 for current Minnesota State students.

The Free Press also had a great story on Evil Dead: The Musical.
It's a chance to hear some music and see some bloody gore - it just doesn't get any better than that Shuffle Functioneers!

We also mentioned that David Rees has a brand spankin new GET YOUR WAR ON comic out and about, his first in over two years! Shyboy Tim and I are big fans of this seris, and we actually spoke to him a number of years ago about his work. It is really worth checking out, and here is a link to the new strip.

I think you should definitely click on the VIEW THE SLIDESHOW OPTION, it is a pretty wordy strip.

Mr. Rees is also an artisan pencil sharpener. Seriously!! Look at his web site here. I am a sucker for anything that involves an artisan aspect - and nosing around his web site makes me want to start a pencil collection!
Last but not least - all you kids on facebook be sure to check out the event page for our next KMSU PRESENTS show featuring three bands STNNNG, VAMPIRE HANDS, and TENDER MEAT. You can find it by searching for KMSU Presents or follow this link. I will be sure to write more about this show in the next few days - I am really excited about the line up! Thanks again to Free Form Freak Out Dave for all of us hard work!
