We have been talking about this for weeks and now the show is only a few days away. This Friday night KMSU is offering you an opportunity to hear three great bands from the Twin Cities and some amazing local bands as well. Dave from Free Form Freakout has been working his be-hind off making this show a reality, and I for one cannot wait to hear these folks rock.

Everything kicks off at Tune Town at 7 p.m. with local band Shotgun Fiction. This is an all ages free event folks - and a chance to check out all the hard work Carl has done in the back of the store in the new vinyl record bins. There will be a second band at 8 pm - Dave is still finalizing the details. As soon as we know we will pass along the info., so be sure to check back.

Here is a video of Shotgun Fiction in action:

At 9:30 everyone will walk across Front Street to the What's Up Lounge to hear Stnng, The Bombay Sweets, and Tender Meat. This is a 21 and up show and five bucks will get you in the door. I'd love to pack the place with music geeks - so please be sure to help us get the word out and about. There is a facebook page for the event, you can find it here.

All of these bands are legendary for their live performances. If you scroll down to last weeks playlist you can see some videos of each band in action. After watching them, I can't wait to see these bands live! Here is some more videos to wet your whistle:

As you can see - this is not a show to be missed. Hang out with other music geeks, support the local music scene and dance your booty off this Friday May 13th, all courtesy of KMSU.
