and
The Black Six

Saturday, AUGUST 27 @ 7:00pm
Wiecking 220 Auditorium
Minnesota State University, Mankato

FREE! FREE! FREE! FREE! FREE!

Join us on the last Saturday of July for a truly historic Grind-Fu Cinema. For this Grind-Fu we are screening what could be THE WORST FILM EVER SCREENED FOR GRIND-FU! If you're a long time Grind-Fu attendee, you know that is saying something.

On Saturday, July 27th, we're screening The Guy From Harlem and The Black Six. This is Grind-Fu's first leap into the Blaxploitation genre, and it TOTALLY delivers. Scooter Polanski nearly had a coronary when he saw this lineup, as he's been going on about them for years. If it has THE SCOOTER POLANSKI SEAL OF APPROVAL, you know it's gonna be a great night of cinema.

The Guy From Harlem is truly... it's just so... I mean... did they even try? They must have, because if you tried to make a movie this bad it would just fall flat. This movie turns the world of bad movies on its head. Read the quote on the above Grind-Fu poster and know that it speaks the truth. You will be stunned. Honestly, YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!

The Black Six features six 70s football greats playing Vietnam Vets riding cycles around the countryside, doing good deeds while fighting racism and other motorcycle gangs. It's funny and action packed and has football players acting. That's the big three, as far as Grind-Fu is concerned.

Join us on Saturday, AUGUST 27th @ 7:00pm for an amazing night of FREE MOVIES!

PILLAGING DANGEROUS MINDS

is a fantastic blog that The Supreme Ruler of Sound turned us on to. The content is AMAZING, it's updated regularly (unlike this blog!), and it'll help you kill loads and loads of time that youLinkshould probably be using to get stuff done.

One of the things I love about Dangerous Minds is that it posts loads of great musical content. Full concerts, great documentaries, interviews, etc. Not just a video clip here or there, but real substantive content. What I'm gonna do here is full on post a bunch of amazing things I came across on Dangerous Minds, and then I'm gonna encourage you to check out the blog. It'll impress.

BTW, all these were posted in the last two months. There's years of stuff for you to wade through!

HEY, KIDS! GUESS WHO HAS A BIRTHDAY COMING UP?
THE LEGENDARY
STARDUST COWBOY!

For years, Shuffle Function and KMSU listeners have give The Ledge lots of love. Every September we've asked that folks send him birthday greetings, and every December we've asked that folks send him Holiday greetings. Well, September is right around the corner... you get the drift.

Here's his address:

Norman Odam

PUT LOTS OF STARS ON THE ENVELOPE!

If you'd like a response, include a self addressed stamped envelope. We can't guarantee he'll write back, but he's sent folks some interesting stuff in the past.

Thanks alot. You're gonna make The Ledge's day.
