I just finished watching the pilot episode of Girls, the HBO joint from Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow, and I thought it was really funny and really good. It seems to get compared a lot to Sex and The City, but I can't swear to that because I've only ever endured about five minutes of that show. From what I gather, Girls is based more in reality, where as Sex and the City is some shallow New York fantasy world or something. Maybe that's the booze talking.
Anyway, I liked it a lot. Now I gotta get the Criterion DVD of Lena Dunham's Tiny Furniture. I hear good things.
