IF YOU'RE WILLING TO OPEN THE DOOR WITHOUT LOOKING THROUGH THE PEEPHOLE FIRST, THEN YOU CAN BE A JANDEK FAN - Gary Pig Gold

Thanks to everybody that went to last night's music geek themed Grind-Fu Cinema, featuring Jandek On Corwood and Vinylmania.  I don't know if we made any new Jandek converts, but everybody seemed to be pretty intrigued by his story (or lack thereof).  Afterwards, a summit of music geeks, show hosts, and record store owners was held at Blue Bricks.  And there was much rejoicing.

Record Store Day 2012 was an exhausting affair this year, but man... in the three hours we were at Tune Town the line to the cash register never let up once.  That, my friends, is a wonderful thing to see.

This coming week is packed with radio goodwill.  Check out this very blog for dates and times of all the various things we have in store for you.  Don't forget, tomorrow is WORLD BOOK DAY.  Come up to the station and get a free book.  Pass on the gift of reading through your day, gang.  Remember, reading is fundamental!

This Thursday we have the Shuffle Function 24 Hour Pledge Drive A-Go-Go.  We hope you'll give generously.  The goal for this drive is the largest we've had in the eleven years that Shuffle Function has been on the air, and it would be tremendous to crush it.

THE NEXT GRIND-FU

This coming Saturday we're getting our bowl on, with three amazing Bowling related features.  Join us at seven p.m. in Wiecking 220 Auditorium, on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato, for a hilarious evening of movies.  Grind-Fu, of course, is COMPLETELY FREE.

Check the blog for more info, or drop us a line at shufflefunction@hotmail.com.
