Don't forget that on Record Store Day 2012, April 21st @ 7pm, we'll be having a bonus Grind-Fu Cinema, featuring the wonderful documentary Jandek On Corwood.  We're big Jandek fans up here, and this documentary helped get us to that point.  If you're already a Jandek fan, you'll really love this doc.  If you aren't a fan of Jandek, don't worry, because the mystery of his music and life will draw you in.  This is great stuff, music geeks.

Jandek On Corwood came out in 2003.  Jandek had never played a live show before that point, but then, in 2004, he unexpectedly began performing for audiences around the world.  He plays several shows a year, and the great thing about them is that you never know what to expect.  His first show was what one might consider traditional Jandek, only he was accompanied by a drum and bass.  Since then, however, he's been joined by orchestra instruments, jazz and funk musicians, and recently he played a TECHNO SHOW.

You never know what you'll get.

Here are a bunch of clips of Jandek playing live over the last eight years.  It's pretty intriguing stuff.

BONUS:  Jandek playing live on WFMU, April 10th, 2012.  It's a haunting set.
