We've kicked the tires, adjusted the brightness and tweaked the gear, and it looks like Grind-Fu Cinema is ready for Public Domain movie supremacy!  This month we're showing our first Film Noir movies.  Both are high in atmosphere and suspense, so be ready to sit on the edge of your seat, cuz that's all you'll need!

DETOUR - 1945
Not only is Detour a great Film Noir, it also holds the distinction of being archived in the National Film Registry!  I do believe that is a first for any Grind-Fu film.  This is a real poverty row production that succeeds despite its budgetary limitations.  Roger Ebert said it is "... haunting and creepy, an embodiment of the guilty soul of film noir.  No one who has seen it has easily forgotten it."

D.O.A. - 1950
D.O.A. is regarded as a classic of the Film Noir genre.  It follows a man on a quest to find out who murdered him.  Yeah.  See it and find out how that works!  It's a great film.

Join us on Saturday, August 25th @ 7:00pm for our first ever Film Noir double feature!  Drop us an e-mail at shufflefunction@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

I'm the new boy in town!  Where can I go?
