COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN BLOG POST # 10

In 1978 The Cramps played a short gig at the Napa State Mental Hospital. The audience included roadies for the band, the film crew and the patients themselves. At one point Lux introduces a song with these words, "Somebody told me you people are crazy but I'm not so sure about that - you seem to be allright to me."  I have no idea how this show ever happened logistically, but it didand you can see it below.

We will again be celebrating Halloween with Lux Interior's Purple Knif Radio Show, recorded in 1984 in Los Angeles. On it he shares with the us music from his own record collection and goes old school radio. It is a glimpse into the music that formed The Cramps, and it is a lot of fun. We of course will be giving out candy to any trick or treaters that stop by the station from 6 to 9 a.m. so plan your day accordingly Shuffle Functioneers!
