always leave white space on your ghost and goats in trees calendar

thank you Patricks! This Bloody Mary and my D. Stark hamburger of BBQ and Peanut Butter and Onion Rings (eaten before snapping photo) is just what the radio doctor ordered.
Last night we had a great post marathon Grind-Fu Cinema, and today is the first day where there is nothing on the KMSU calendar for us. I stopped by the station for Listen To Your Folks to pledge pitch with Dave Engen and other than that it has been a day to try and get my feet back under me before heading into a work week.

In the morning we will be joined by Maverick Slim aka Gary from Thursday Night Jazz to celebrate International Jazz Day. We plan on spinning a lot of vinyl and playing some of our favorites. Gary is THE GUY to talk Jazz with at the station, and both Tim and I are thrilled to be celebrating this holiday with him on Shuffle Function tomorrow.

We will also be asking for your help with wrapping up the KMSU Spring Pledge Drive. The Shuffle Function 24 Hour Pledge Drive A-Go-Go was a smash success, and I am not sure exactly where we are at towards meeting the goal, but I know that we are less than $4,000 dollars away from reaching it. If you have yet to pledge please do it as soon as you can. The pledge drive is scheduled through May 6th, but if we can reach our goal we could end it in less than a week!! Be sure to call us at 389 - 5678 or 1-800-456-7810 to make your pledge to support community radio!

I will try to post more photos from the marathon soon...........................so stay tuned!!

HEY, LET'S GO BOWLING!

THANK YOU, KMSU LISTENERS!  It is such a thrill to know there are so many true believers out there.  I know we were getting a little psychotic at the end, what with the whole... you know... BEING UP FOR TWENTY FOUR HOURS... but we are so glad that you heard our pleas and chipped in.

I'm sure we'll have more to say over the next several days, but right now we're up at the Wiecking building getting our asses kicked at Wii bowling by Ruby Tuesday, and I gotta focus on my game.

When the dust settled at 6 p.m. last night after a massive Sugar Daddy Philip matching grant challenge, the station was only a little over $4,000 away from having met the entire Pledge Drive goal of $30,000!! What an unbelievable 24 hours Tim and I have had and we'd love to celebrate with you all kicking back and laughing with three great films/TV. See you soon!!

SWAG FOR ART FIENDS SLASH MUSIC GEEKS!

ART FOR MUSIC GEEKS BY A MUSIC GEEK!

BOTH PIECES OF WORK ARE GONE!
THANKS TO AMANDA GULLIXSON!

Holy crap, you guys!  Amanda Gullixson, amazing local artist/Paul McCartney fanatic/Music Geek, has created these two Shuffle Function inspired works of art, and they speak loudly to the gang up here at Shuffle Function.  As a graphics guy, I'm particularly fond of the retro graphics edge that her work has, and the music geek angle these pieces work is funny and fantastic.

Here's the offer:  You can pledge $150 you can take one of these great works home with you.  Since it's Shuffle Function, we're gonna sweeten the deal even more.  We're also going to throw in three different t-shirt designs, a copy of the Shuffle Function 7', and two Jandek CDs.  That's a whole lot of geek, gang, and it's a very reasonable way to get your art collection started.

These are the only two we have, and after they are gone they are gone, so don't hesitate!  We love this, and we love local creatives that step up to help keep independent radio alive!

507-389-5678 or 1-800-456-7810
