OHMANOHMANOHMANOHMANOHMAN!  This is the cover story of the February 2014 issue of The Wire.  That photo right there on the cover was taken in MINNEAPOLIS!  The first ever face to face interview with The Representative From Corwood Industries took place during the days before and after the show that KMSU produced at The Cedar Cultural Center on October 31st, 2013.  Everything about that experience was memorable for all involved, as well as for anybody that was lucky enough to witness the show.  Here's what The Wire said to its advertisers regarding the upcoming issue:

"Hang on to your hats, folks: the cover story in the forthcoming February issue ofThe Wire features the underground music scoop of the century - the first ever face to face interview with the most enigmatic and elusive, not to mention one of the most inspirational and uncompromising, musicians of the times, the legendary Jandek. The interview was conducted over three days in December in Minneapolis by David Keenan and is now spread across ten pages of the February issue, along with photographer Alec Soth's brilliantly evocative portraits of the mythical representative of Corwood Industries. And what he revels about the philosophies and experiences that have shaped his unique music over the last 40 years will blow the minds of the initiated and transfix the imaginations of neophytes."

Expect extreme levels of Jandek geekiness on the show in the near future!  Also coming soon:  Houston Saturday!

Will I be able to find a copy in Mankato?

I don't know. B&N hasn't had it in a while. Probably in the Twin Cities, and I see you can order copies off the website, though I'm not sure what shipping is like from the UK.
