BOB AND BOB AND TOMMY AND CRAIG AND LORI AND LIZZO: THE TWIN CITIES RULE!

Jeez, do you guys realize that The Replacements are playing in two months?  JEEZ.  I hadn't realized just how close it was getting until I saw this video making the rounds on Facebook.  It features some Twin Cities heavy hitters talking about Minneapolis and St Paul and all the amazing music and adventures that they have experienced.  The entire thing weighs in at just over nine minutes, but they cram a ton of great stuff into those nine minutes.

Favorite things:
  • Bob Mould visiting the old Northern Lights location where Husker Du used to rehearse, and not being recognized at all by the folks that work in the hair salon that's there now.
  • Tommy Stinson reflecting on how he owes everything to his brother Bob forcing him to play bass.
  • Craig Finn talking about how the two Replacements shows he saw with Bob Stinson playing were tow of the greatest live shows he ever saw, and he's standing by the Bob Stinson memorial bench during the interview.
  • Lori Barbero tearing up over Johnny Thunders.
Basically, the whole thing is my favorite thing.  Get ready to geek out, and then plunk down some coin for anything that came out of Minneapolis in 1984.

Bonus video:  Tommy Stinson visits his old house (aka the Let It Be house)
