DON'T MISS THIS BENEFIT CONCERT ON SATURDAY!
HEY! We just found about this show, and the line-up is pretty amazing. If you're looking for a night of killer bands then you're not gonna want to miss it. On Saturday, March 14th, there will be a benefit show for Dan Boardman, a long time fixture of the Twin Cities music scene. You've probably heard his work on Shuffle Function, because we play the hell out of one of his bands, The Spectors. They're really good. You should get all of their music RIGHT NOW.
Anyway, this show features two bands that get relentless airplay on our show. The Spectors will be making a rare live appearance towards the end of the night. These guys are scattered all over the country, so when you hear that they're playing you need to take notice. We caught them about ten years ago for their record release show at First Avenue, and they kicked all kinds of ass all over the place. Don't miss out on this rare opportunity.
The other band we're stoked about is The Beatifics, who also don't play nearly enough. Their criminally unavailable album How I Learned To Stop Worrying is my favorite album of all time, so any opportunity to see them is exciting. The handful of times I've caught a live show by them have been pretty wonderful, so again... don't miss.
Those two bands are reason enough, but you also get The Mighty Mofos, Trailer Trash, Kinda Kinky... well, read the damn flyer! It's a sick lineup, and the proceeds go to help Dan Boardman with his Cancer treatment. It'll be worth it to attend.
The show goes down at Eagles Club 34 in Minneapolis. $10 at the door. Doors open at six p.m. and the show runs until midnight-ish. It's gonna be a great night of music, so we'll see you there!
