$40,000.  That's the amount that we're staring down during this Spring Pledge Drive  As you have no doubt heard, and will continue to hear, KMSU desperately needs to raise money to get a new transmitter.  The one we have is on its last legs and we can't even get new parts for it.  THE GOOD NEWS:  By hitting this pledge drive goal we'll FINALLY have the money needed to get this thing!  It has been our main mission and goal over the last several years, and that transmitter is within our reach.  This is an exciting prospect, and the entire reason we are this close is because of the amazing generosity from listeners like you.  You guys are the best, and don't for a minute think we aren't grateful for all you do.  Everybody at KMSU sings your praises.  You are the best.

THE BAD NEWS:  Without your financial support we cannot continue to bring you the unique local programming you've come to know and love, and we won't be able to get the necessary gear we need to keep broadcasting.  Keep in mind that not only do your pledges help keep us on the air, but they also act as a vote of confidence in the station.  The University notices these things.  This is huge in an era of budget cuts.  It shows the folks that run the works that KMSU is valued by you and that we're an asset to the community.

Any amount makes a huge difference, but we have some great swag available at different pledge levels to hopefully nudge you towards making a contribution.  And now...

Mr. Specific strikes again with another DVD featuring his unique video forays into the fringes of society, and this one promises to be the creepiest yet!  Every Spring, just in time for pledge drive, a nondescript brown paper bag with an unmarked DVD arrives at the Shuffle Function office door.  Don't miss out on the 8th weird installment!

We've had a lot of fun shirts over the years, but this one takes the cake.  Conceived in a fever dream of Shelley's and brought to life by amazing artist Kaitlin Baumann, this shirt is crawling with Shuffle Function fanaticism for all things bizzaro.  Check out these details!

Kaitlin dun good.  All the cool kids will be wearing the new shirt, so obviously that means you!  Available in S to 2XL.

$50 - KMSU HAT

For only $50 you can wear your KMSU pride dramatically on your noggin!  This hat features the KMSU logo across the front, and comes in Small/Medium and Large/Extra Large.  It's a nice classy grey, so it goes with casual togs or with that tux/gown you're gonna be wearing to the opera.  Fits on even the biggest head!

For the thrifty listener who wants to save a buck but score some sweet premiums!  You will receive the new Shuffle Function t-shirt PLUS the Crypt of Underground Neanthropic Television #8 DVD.  It doesn't take a math genius to see that this is one heck of a deal!

KMSU is one of the rare spots on the dial to carry World Cafe, and this CD collects some of the recent amazing in-studio performances from both old and new musical favorites!

The Cadillac of premiums, this allows you to join us during the morning show for two hours and control the playlist!  You bring your music collection and get to play DJ and we just push buttons and talk too much.  With this you also get the brand new Shuffle Function t-shirt, the new Crypt of Underground Neanthropic Television #8 DVD, and CD copy of your two hours of radio infamy to share with family and friends.

When it comes to the British Invasion the most common question asked is Beatles or Stones?  First off, why would you have to chose, and second off, HOW ARE YOU LEAVING OUT THE KINKS?!!  Sure, they didn't dominate the top of the U.S. charts like those bands, but their catalog is loaded with hits, and the rewards for exploring their catalog are profound.  Perhaps it's because they are often overlooked when considering the major impact of the British Invasion, but their body of work is filled with new favorite songs just waiting to be discovered.  We want you guys to discover these songs, too.

This Spring we're offering a collection of music from The Kinks that will cover all the bases and provide you with some of the most essential and influential music in popular music.  The music of The Kinks is catchy, tuneful, hilarious, and often bitingly observant.  Ray Davies is one of those song writers that you may not have heard of, but the musicians you love most certainly have, and his songs left a deep impression.  And let's not forget about Dave Davies.  His guitar playing is killer!  As David Lee Roth once said, "Without The Kinks there would be no air guitar."  One listen to You Really Got Me is all the evidence that statement needs to back it up.

For a pledge of $100 you will get Essential Kinks, as well as last year's deluxe reissue of their classic Muswell HillbilliesEssential Kinks is a stellar career overview of the band, and it's filled with all the hits and hidden gems you'll need to become a died in the wool Kinks fan.  Muswell Hillbillies was ignored by the public when it came out in 1971, but has since become regarded as a milestone in their career.  Its view on a changing world is just as relevant today as it was then, and it has had a tremendous influence on Americana music.  Muswell Hillbillies features bonus tracks, plus a companion DVD featuring great BBC TV performances from the era.  Don't go another day without letting The Kinks into your life!

You can sponsor an entire day of radio on KMSU with this premium.  Commemorate a birthday or anniversary, surprise the music geek in your life, treat the new graduate, or celebrate the music of your favorite musician!  These are just a few ways that you can use a KMSU Day Sponsorship.  A personalized message will also be read throughout the day so the whole world knows that you are a super cool person that supports independent radio!

There's the swag!  Drop us a line with questions, but most of all drop us a line with your support! Remember, the 2015 Pledge Drive THIS WEDNESDAY at six a.m.!  Give early and give often!  We are counting on you!
