COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED!

The final Grind-Fu Cinema of 2015 is on the horizon, and the crew has put together one hell of a bill for you.  Usually we feature a double bill of excellence, but this time around we've packed the better part of the day with full on low budget exploitation madness!  It's a celebration of the big daddy of gore-sploitation, Herschell Gordon Lewis!

Who's Herschell Gordon Lewis?  Kiddo, you gotta get out a bit more and run with the Grind-Fu crowd.  Herschell Gordon Lewis is a legend of exploitation films, and horror films in particular.  This is because he directed Blood Feast, the very first splatter film.  Buckets of red? Entrails? Limbs hacked off?  It had never been seen on the screen before H.G. Lewis threw caution (and shame) to the wind and started counting the dollars that rolled in.

The day will have two parts to it.  The first part starts at noon and will feature a documentary, along with two of his non-horror endeavors.  Starting at seven we'll begin a horror double feature with an intermission featuring another incredible Grind-Fu cake by our cake artist Amber.  She's set the bar higher and higher each year with her delicious monstrosities, so we can't wait to see what's in store for this year.  Here are a few of her previous creations:

Come for the movies, but stay for the cake... and they all want cake.

We'll post the full line up with times later in the month, but for now you need to make sure you set aside Saturday, October 24th for a full day of cinematic craziness that only Herschell Gordon Lewis films can deliver.
