WIN PASSES TO
Thursday, October 1st @ 7:00pm
Cinemark Movies 8
River Hills Mall, Mankato
We're incredibly lucky to have FIVE PAIRS of passes to see Rifftrax Live! The screening takes place on Thursday, October 1st @ 7:00pm at the Cinemark Movies 8 in the River Hills Mall. Listen between six and nine a.m. for your chance to win! When you hear the rooster crow followed by the Legendary Stardust Cowboy saying "Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey, it's Shuffle Function!" be the 5th caller at 507-389-5678 or 1-800-456-7810 and you can win a pair of passes to see Rifftrax!
Have you ever gone to a Rifftrax show? They're a blast. Rifftrax is Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett from Mystery Science Theater, and they make fun of incredibly bad movies. These Fathom Events screenings are a ton of fun, and they're just as geeky as you'd hope. If you don't win tickets you should probably go anyway, unless you hate fun.
Miami Connection is a martial arts film from 1987 that was written and directed by its star Y.K. Kim. Kim's background was as a taekwondo teacher, and had zero experience making a film. It shows, too. The acting, story, music, EVERYTHING is pretty lousy. Lousy in a good way, however. Miami Connection is so weird and insane that Drafthouse Films, the movie distribution wing of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, decided it deserved a theatrical re-release and a deluxe home video release.
And now Rifftrax has gotten its mitts on it. Circle of life, my friends.
Listen tomorrow for your chance to see Rifftrax take on the cinematic trainwreck Miami Connection!
