COUNTDOWN TO HALLOWEEN BLOGPOST #25 - Mark Your Calendars!

I was looking through my photos for a spooky picture to start this post with, and it doesn't get any spookier than Norman Bates at the end of Psycho! I always feel like Halloween comes to an end after Grind-Fu Cinema, but we still have a number of great Halloween events on the calendar. Let me just remind you of what's coming up:

KMSU FALL PLEDGE DRIVE BEGINS WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 26th

We are member supported radio and we depend upon your financial support to continue being your favorite spot on the radio dial. We have some fantastic swag available for you as a thank you gift when you call and pledge your support. Scroll on down the blog for a full list. Might I recommend The Record Expedition? Or The Beatifics album?

SHUFFLE FUNCTION RADIO ROULETTE 6 p.m. THURSDAY OCTOBER 27th

The K-tel records will get a work out as we let the Radio Gods control our playlist on the night time show. Since this show coincides with the KMSU Pledge Drive, if you make a pledge during our show you can choose a number for us to use. That means you pick out the K-Tel record and we will flip the coins and roll the dice to determine the track we play. It could be amazing, it could be frightening. Tune in to find out!

THE FINAL E.S.P. RADIO TEST 6:30 p.m. THURSDAY OCTOBER 27th

We will be conducting our final test during the night time show as well. Again, you must listen in live to take the test, and the answer sheet will appear on this blog about five minutes before the test. We gave had some really interesting results, and we will be sharing the data we have compiled on Halloween morning during the Shuffle Function Morning Show.

THE 1952 ARMED FORCES FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE RADIO
SPECIAL FRIDAY OCTOBER 28th

During the morning show on Friday we will play this truly frightening radio special recorded in 1952 at Frankenstein's Castle. It is riveting radio and if you have never heard this recording before you should be sure to tune in. Friday will also be the last of the Judson Fountain Radio Dramas.

HALLOWEEN DAY MORNING SHOW OCTOBER 31st

First and foremost we invite everyone to the station for trick or treating. Feel free to wear your Halloween costume if you like, or don't, it's up to you. We have a bunch of candy to give out so somebody needs to eat it! We will also be playing the Lux Interior Purplr Knif RAdio Show, our Halloween tradition. It's Lux from The Cramps playing music from his own record collection on a California radio show recorded in the 1980's. It's fantastic! We will also reveal all of the data we have collected from our six E.S.P. Radio Tests. Is the KMSU listening audience psychic? You'll have to tune in to find out.

There is a ton of Halloween fun left, and all of you are invited to join us. Mark those Goats and Ghosts In Boats With Hall and Oates Drinking Root Beer Floats now!
