KMSU LISTENER APPRECIATION SHOW FEATURING THE BEATIFICS!

KMSU Listener Appreciation Show

featuring

THE BOOT R&B

and

THE BEATIFICS

Saturday, November 5th @ 7:00 p.m.
at Patrick's On Third
125 South 3rd Street, Saint Peter, Minnesota

Help KMSU celebrate the end of the Fall Pledge Drive with a night of kick ass music at Patrick's!  We'll be starting things off with a DJ set by DJ MO, then The Boot R&B will conquer the stage, followed by the Power Pop domination of The Beatifics!  Show up early and dance 'til late!  DJ MO will keep things going between and after the bands, so there's plenty of opportunity to have too much fun.  We've got your radio back!

We've never seen The Boot R&B before, but we're dying to!  They play sixties Dutch Beat Music, Freak Beat, and R&B covers, and we have literally heard nothing but praise about them.  If you're a Mod, a Rocker, or a Mocker, you're gonna love these guys.

The Beatifics are a well known quantity around Shuffle Function land.  Their album How I Learned To Stop Worrying is Shyboy Tim's favorite album of all time, and we've been playing them relentlessly since the show started 15 years ago, and any time we would play something from them we'd urge you to go out and find the album, which has been unjustly out of print for far too long.  Almost two years ago Shyboy Tim decided that something had to be done about it, and he's been working with Chris Dorn from The Beatifics for nearly two years on a first-time-ever vinyl reissue for the 20th anniversary of the album.  It'll be out before the end of the year, complete with a nice looking jacket, new liner notes, and a download featuring bonus tracks and the only live recordings of the original line-up of the band!

Join us for a really great time on November 5th at Patrick's!
