POST HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA TEN! TWO DAYS OF ART, FOOD, AND MUSIC!

POST HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA TEN!
Friday, April 14th & Saturday, April 15th, 2017

The Post Holiday Extravaganza started as an excuse to let off some steam after the hectic holiday season and to fight the winter blahs.  It combines art, music, and food to celebrate community, and it's always a good time.  On top of that, the PHE also raises money for art, music, and individual causes, so it gives beyond just a good time.

The 2017 line-up for PHE is a real mindblower with something for everyone.  On Friday, April 14th there will be a pre-party at Nakato, a great local venue, with music from Crankshaft and Gear Grinders, from 8pm-1am.  THIS IS A FREE 21+ EVENT!  Get there early, have something from their great menu, and then listen to some kick ass music.  And PHE is just getting started.

Saturday, April 15th is packed from noon to midnight with something for everyone.  Everything starts at noon at the Mankato Brewery, with an art raffle, silent auction, and bake sale, with DJ sets from DJ Shoba, DJ Jameson, and Dave Perron from Free Form Freakout.  THIS IS A FREE ALL-AGES EVENT!  How much more can you expect?  The answer is so much.  So much more.

The PHE finale starts at eight p.m. at The What's Up? Lounge with an off the rails line-up.  You get Bee Balm Fields, Kid Dakota, BNLX, and then... holy crap... THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN OF THE BLIND SHAKE!  You missed out if you didn't catch The Blind Shake when they rolled through town last July.  In fact, you probably heard all about it in rapturous tones from the folks that did go. They're a powerhouse band and they'll blow your mind (and ears) out.  Tickets are only eight bucks for the show, too, and that's a lot of music for a small price and a very good cause.

Also, get a load of the amazing poster by Jason Knudson.  The guy does good work.

Cancel any plans you may have, unless they involve supporting music and art in Mankato on April 14th & 15th.  You will not regret it.
